I was just battling Volkner in my Platinum version, and it got down to his last Pokemon, Luxray. My Gastrodon (named Gummy) had been injured by his Raichu... I hadn't used any other Pokemon at all the entire battle. It went a bit something like this.
Luxray: Uses Crunch. Gummy is down to 20 HP now.
Gummy: Mud Bomb. Luxray's accuracy is lowered.
Luxray: Volkner uses a Full Restore.
Gummy: Body Slam. Luxray is paralyzed, which means Gummy is now faster.
Gummy: Mud Bomb. Luxray Survives, but accuracy is lowered again.
Luxray: Crunch. Misses.
Gummy: Body Slam. Luxray faints.
I WIN! Yaaaay! Now I can trade in my Heart Gold team, stomp on the Elite Four, catch Palkia and Dialga and start a new file! <3

I am having incredible luck here. I was battling a swimmer trainer, I had my Frosslass (named Donut) out. And then this happens;
I command Donut to use Ice Beam. The trainer switches to Azumarill. It does next to no damage, but Azumarill is frozen.
Next turn I use Shadow Ball, it hits for pretty good damage, and lowers the opponents Sp. Def so I knock it out with another attack the next turn.
The trainer switches to Bibarel, which was already injured by my Bronzong (Danish). Frosslass uses headbutt, Bibarel flinches. Headbutt again for a K.O.
Whoop!
